Oh wow, thank you so much for this wonderful, encouraging comment! I really struggled with this story -- even lost the first 15K at one point and had to totally re-write from the beginning, which was a real lesson in how to ALWAYS back up everything I write, duh -- so to read that it worked for you is a huge relief.
And I have started a sequel, because I couldn't bear to leave them this way, even though at the time I wrote it I felt like we KNOW what happens next and it made sense to leave it like this. Then I started to wonder how things would go for them in this world and guess what? It's different! :) So...
