Thank you! I worked so hard to keep Dean from seeming like a total push-over! I was trying to convey his maturity, that now he's 36 (or at least, that's what I was imagining) and looking back on all that past history, with a few significant memory gaps, just assuming his past self had figured out how to make sense of this thing between them. But of course Dean never trusts himself, so I needed to convey that uncertainty too...
